“Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think,” motivates educator, artist, and author Cindy Cotner. As a teacher for over twenty-five years, she taught in the southwest, co-directed the Oklahoma Writing Project, published in the National Council of English Teachers, and completed her thesis on the integration of art and writing from the University of Oklahoma. Now retired but not reposing, she continues to create an environment for training the mind by pursuing art, writing, and imparting young minds to think differently.
